India is a land of diverse cultures and festivals. Many festivals are celebrated in India. Navratri or Chaitra Navratri is one of the major festivals of Hindus. This festival dedicated to Maa Durga and her 9 incarnations, is celebrated with great pomp. Navratri means “nine nights". During these nine nights and 10 days of Navratri, people worship the nine forms of Devi. There are four Navratris celebrated throughout the year of which 2 are hidden ( गुप्त) or 2 are visible (प्रत्यक्ष). Know when Chaitra Navratri is starting in 2024, the start date, and the End date. These remedies are very easy to understand and perform.


Shardiy Navratri 2024 – Start date & End Date

Shardiya Navratri is celebrated in September and October. According to the Hindu calendar, Shardiya Navratri starts from the Prathma tithi of Shukla Paksha of Ashwin month. This year Shardiya Navratri 2024, the Start Date, is October 3, Thursday, 2024, and the End Date is October 12, Vijaydashmi, Saturday, 2024. In India, people practice tantra-mantra, Toney- Totke during all major Hindu festivals like Holi, Diwali, etc. There are some Totke that can be performed during Navratri. These Totke/Upay are very easy to perform and understand. These Navratri Totke are very powerful. But remember that Tonay-Totke, remedies/Upay only work when a person performs them with full belief. Shardiya Navratri 2024– Significance

Navratri Story: Demon Mahisasur Vadh

The nine-day festival of Shardiya, also known as Shrad Navratri, takes place in the lunar month of Ashwin during the Sharad Ritu and concludes on the tenth day with Dussehra or Vijaya Dashami. This festival celebrates the victory of Goddess Durga over the demon Mahishasura after a nine-day battle, culminating in Vijayadashami. This is why she is famously known as Mahishasuramardini or the slayer of Mahishasura.

According to panchang Navratri 2024 - Kalash Sthapna - Prathma Tithi will begin on 3rd October 2024 at 12:19 am and continue to 4th October 2024 @ 2:58 am, and the time for Kalash Sthapna will be 06:23 am to 10:18 am.

Shardiya Navratri 2024-Start Date - 1st Day - Maa Shailputri pooja - Kalash Sthapna – Prathma - 3rd October, Thursday

2nd Day - Maa Brahamcharini pooja - 4th October, Friday

3rd Day - Maa Chandraghanta pooja - 5th October, Saturday

4th Day - Maa Kushmanda pooja - Chaturthi -6th October, Sunday

5th Day - Maa Skandmata pooja - Panchmi - 7th October, Monday

th Day - Maa Katyayini pooja - Shasthi - 8th October, Tuesday

7th Day - Maa Kaalratri pooja – Saptami - 9th October, Wednesday

8th Day - Maa Maha Guri pooja – Ashtmi - 10th October, Thursday

9th Day - Maa Siddhidaatri pooja - Navmi – 11th October, Friday

Vijaydashmi-Ravan Dahan-12th October 2024, Saturday


Navratri 2024: Totke/Upaye

Some festivals are auspicious to perform tonay totke and upay like Holi, Chaitra Navratri, Shardiya Navratri, Diwali etc. This Shardiya Navratri, the Start date is 15th October and the End date is 24th October is an auspicious time to perform remedies. Some remedies are Given Below.

  • On any Saturday during Navratri, bring 11 peepal leaves before sunrise and write Ram on it with vermilion, make a garland of it and offer it to Lord Rama to remove obstacles.

  • Chant Shri Ram Raksha strotra, Durga Shaptashati, and Shri Sookat path for 9 days during Navratri to gain money, achieve success, and remove obstacles.

  • During Navratri, offer a beetal leaf with 7 rose petals at the Temple of Goddess on all 9 days to remove obstacles and get prosperity.

  • Take two strands of a broom and tie them in the reverse position with a blue thread and place it in the southwest corner of the house to enhance love and affection between the husband and the wife.

  • Take a jute coconut put vermilion tikka on it, tie a red thread (Kalava) around it seven times, and offer rice grain on it and offer this coconut to Hanuman ji in any temple.

  • Recite Hanuman Chalisa and Sunderkand Path every day during Navratri to remove the obstacles. Recite Hanuman Chalisa 21, 51, 108 times to fulfil your wish.

  • During Navratri, offer the clay lion to Maa Durga on Wednesday. All the work is completed.

  • During Navratri, offer a red flag at the Temple of Goddess on any day.

  • Offer the pan to Hanuman Ji for 9 days in Navratri.

  • During Navratri, write the name of Lord Ram on a Peepal leaf, and along with it, offer something sweet in front of Lord Hanuman's idol. This remedy is to be performed continuously for nine days. Soon, you will receive financial gains.

  • To please Goddess Lakshmi during Navratri, every day for 9 days, offer a pair of cloves along with a rose to Goddess Durga. This clove remedy is considered highly effective for attracting wealth during Navratri. Performing this ritual brings prosperity to your home and fills your mind with positive thoughts.

  • To please Lord Hanuman during Navratri, you can also perform a clove remedy. On Tuesday or Saturday during Navratri, light a mustard oil lamp in front of Lord Hanuman and add a pair of cloves to the lamp. Then, recite the Hanuman Chalisa. After that, in a conversational tone, express your problem or wish to Lord Hanuman. It is believed that your plea will soon be heard in the court of Lord Hanuman.

  • During the nine days of Navratri, every morning, you should burn cloves and camphor and spread the smoke throughout your house. Doing this removes negativity from your home and increases the flow of positive energy. It also brings peace to the household.
